Exploring The Neighborhood: Santa Susanna Pass

This is the road we take to get from our house to Simi Valley. Simi is just West of Chatsworth and the home of the Ronald Reagan Library. Looking to the right, I never noticed this before.

I got out of the car to take a closer look. The movie industry strikes again. Hidden here in the mountain pass are movie sets.

Dale patiently waited as I snapped some pics.

We drove down to get a closer look and felt like we went back in time to the Wild, Wild West. These eucalyptus trees are so fragrant. They have been here a long time and are loaded with oil.

 

Wagon wheels and rocks epitomize this part of town.

There are lots of varieties of cactus.

 

We discovered a tree house! Another fun sight seeing trip just minutes from home.

Taking Time to Smell The Roses at the Huntington Gardens

Los Angeles is blessed with some beautiful gardens. The Huntington Gardens are in San Marino, about 30 minutes from Chatsworth. I love the columns and architecture here. Ana, Sylvia, and I had a great day!

A feast for the eyes!

With so much going on in world news and our personal lives it was most enjoyable to "step away" and take some time to smell the roses. It is good for the soul.

We had a delicious lunch with a view on the patio of the Chinese garden. The ice cold Jasmine Tea refreshed us.

We all enjoyed each others company and left thankful to God for the beauty of His creation.
